PQ4R Strategy and Information Communication Technology in Enhancing Students’ Reading Comprehension at Junior High School West Papua Indonesia
This article will identify out the effect of PQ4R strategy and information communication technology on enhancing students’ ability in reading comprehension. This study applied quantitative method and used pre-experimental with the type of one group pre-test and post-test. The data were analyzed by using T-test formula. This article shows that pre-test score was 1190 and post test score was 1530, while students’ gain score was 370. In percentage score, 14 students get Excellent score (77.7%), 3 students get Good score (16.6%), and 1 student get fairly score (5.55%). No students get Poor and Very Poor score. This showed that PQ4R strategy and application of information and communication technology as media of teaching and learning had positive effect on enhancing students’ reading comprehension.
