Abstract

In MANETs, the performance of QoS is an real-time factor. QoS can be improved by
Cross-Layer Design (CLD) by using state information sharing between the layers. This is related
to examining routing protocol with centralized control architecture. In the previous research,
AODV routing protocol is considered for the betterment in QoS compared to other routing
protocols, but the latency and state route problems are not considered. So, in the present
research is a new modified routing protocol named as Modified Destination Sequenced Distance
Vector (MDDSDV) is developed with a centralized architecture. This MDDSDV approach can
overcome the problem of state routes as well as improve the performance of regular DSDV. It
would make use of CLD technique to improve the quality of service in MANETs..
