Purified Carboxymethyl Cellulose for the Pharmaceutical Industry

Abstract

In this work, a new method for producing highly purified carboxymethyl cellulose from its technical grades is developed. It is established that when using the developed new purification method, the purified CMC samples contain no side reaction products and heavy metal impurities. The developed method allows improving quality indicators and reducing the cost of highly purified carboxymethyl cellulose by reducing the consumption of ethyl alcohol.
