Analysis of hand symbols using image segmentation

Abstract

Many computer-based applications require the analysis of different parts of an image. Today’s Image
segmentation provides the outstanding understanding of each pixel of an image. Segmentation is the
base for detection and classification of an image. Image segmentation comprises of dividing sample
image inputs into segments for simplifying its analysis. Segmentation process involves two granularity
levels i.e., dense prediction and instance segmentation. Dense prediction level provides the meaning
of each pixel of an image and instance segmentation identifies only each instance of an image but it
does not provide the category information of an image. This paper presents the segmentation of Hand
symbols. Hand symbol segmentation is used to analyze each part of an image by dividing it into small
segments. Finally, the optimum operations have been put in to enhance the visualization of processed
