Abstract

Now a day’s children get lost very often. They get attracted to anything which pique their interest and get deviated from their path and sometimes end up in places they shouldn’t be. There are situations in which the child is unable to call for help or contact their families such as heat stroke, kidnapping and etc,. This project helps the parents from worrying about their children in these situations. In this project, there are two equipments that are connected to each other through a wireless network. One will be an armband which contains a temperature sensor and a RFID reader, while the other piece will be a belt wore around the waist which has GPS sensor, wireless module, vibrating sensor and a panic button to monitor different situations. These different sensors help in finding the child’s temperature, onboard activity to the school bus and school, to find the location of the child respectively. The panic button can be enabled manually by the child or if the sensors determine any abnormalities in the above mentioned situations, which will then activate a sos signal and an alarm to indicate the nearby people as well as the parent and gets notified about the incident with the child’s location. This project proposes a model for monitoring a child’s activity and reduces stress to the parent.
