Abstract

Today, organizations are facing issues wherein they have to manage the data efficiently, for utilizing
it at the time of need. Most often due to certain unavoidable circumstances it becomes difficult to
manage the data effectively. So, the organizations require certain plans and strategies to take care of
such situations. Although organizations have certain disaster management plan still, the execution of
these depends upon several resources. So, in this paper, the focus is to design an efficient procedure to
recover the robust business processes in the given time frame by utilizing the data stored offline. This
methodology is the combination of many units of strategies to overcome several emerging knowhow’s. Although, these methodologies can be executed individually, still they have been designed to
be utilized in tandem with others only:
 The initial aspect is related to managing the crisis-like situation.
 And lately, it is related to providing a way for the expansion, upholding and testing of the
DisasterRecovery Plan.
In this paper, a plan for disaster recovery using Cloud Computing has been proposed to ensure that
there will be no or minimum loss in the business data; and the business process will remain
continuous at the time, when such a situation occurs.Cloud computing with its economies of scale,
speed and agility is well suited to Disaster Recovery functions.
