Cyber Security:Threats and Prevention

Abstract

Internet is considered as a boon to society, since the time of its arrival in mid 1990s. With the
advancement in telecommunications and networking, internet has offered much more to society apart
from exchange of data through emails, searching the information etc. But technology has always been
blamed to some extent of its misuse and so is the internet. A separate field of study has been in focus
from past few years in relation to cyber crime. This paper discusses about various internet security
threats along with the associated prevention measures. Also, paper highlights suggestions on how one
can keep him aloof from such threats.
