Abstract

Wireless sensor network can be defined as collection of interconnected sensors that are present at
some remote locations and cover certain range of area. Purpose of these remotely present sensors is
to sense the environment like sensing the temperature of particular location. Sensor nodes are used to
apply some kind of data processing on sensed data and transmit the data to other locations for further
decision making. Generally these nodes are at remote locations and busy in sending data from one
node to another this kind of data can be tempered and destroyed due to which these nodes are more
prone to security attacks. In case of WSN security is the major concern. Now days various types of
attacks are there which are going to affect proper and efficient functioning of WSN.This paper will
study various security issues along with security protocols.
