Abstract

The prerequisite of sustainable power systems is one of the crucialrequirements for community’s
financialprogress in any country. A significant percentage of the population worldwide lives in
isolated rural areas. This paper explores the HRES (renewable hybrid power generation system) that
is suitable for Punjab-located Sidhwanbet village. All village demand information are accumulated,
and the quantity of energy to be created is determined accordingly. Using Homer Pro Software, the
technological, cost-effective and carbon dioxide diminishing potential of PV-Wind hybrid system is
evaluated.
