Samarkand Agglomeration and Regional Types of Settlement of the Samarkand Region

Abstract

The article considers the Samarkand agglomeration, the Kattakurgan local group system and regional types of settlement of the Samarkand region. The origin and development of the Samarkand agglomeration and other group forms of settlement are studied. The territory of the region is allocated to oasis, mountain, desert and suburban types of settlement. These types of settlement are analyzed and conclusions are drawn.
