Abstract

In this paper, a new Fuzzy logic controller (FLC) for direct torque control (DTC) with AC 3 phase
motor is projected to minimize the rising period, settle time, transient time and torque ripples as in
conventional techniques take more time. This new technique is being designed with FLC using soft
computing technique. FLC is utilized with DTC to enhance the characteristics of IMD and reduce the
rising period, settle time, transient time and torque ripples. The projected method is also evaluated
with the predictable method for the same rating of AC 3 phase motor. The relative examination shows
that rising time is minimized from 260ms to 2.7ms, settle period time is minimized from 725ms to
14ms, transient time is reduced 520ms to 2.8ms and torque ripples are reduced from 84% to 78% it is
also seen that the active reply of the motor is enhanced and clear stator flux trajectory pathway is
active and the stability of the IMD is also improved as compared to conventional work. The proposed
and conventional techniques are verified through Matlab/Simulink.
