Design and Performance Analysis of Power Dividers for Wideband Operation
Abstract
Power dividers for wideband operation is designed, implemented and analyzed that operates in band
from 1GHz to 5GHz. Two dividers specifically Wilkinson power divider and hybrid coupler are
designed by optimizing the length and impedances of microstrip transmission lines.The performance
of proposed power divider is analyze based on Transmission line theory. The proposed power dividers
achieve better performance in terms of return loss, power splitting ratio and isolation ratio over
complete bandwidth across center frequency. Finally, a comparison is made between both designed
power dividers.
