On the role of the influence of particle size distribution of bottom sediments on the conditions of the beginning of movement in watercourses

Abstract

            The article considers the influence of particle size distribution of bottom sediments on the conditions of the beginning of movement in watercourses. A dependence is proposed for determining the heterogeneity of sediments, as well as a curve obtained on the similarity of Shields characterizing the onset of motion of heterogeneous bottom sediments.
