Smart Parking Management System: A Review

Abstract

In this present time with fast advent of new technologies, our transportation system has developed
manifolds. Almost every section of society is equipped with vehicles and thus parking them is an issue
that needs to be managed with efficiency and trust. Mechanism is needed wherein the driver is made
well aware of the available parking slots by central controller with updated information received
from all sensor nodes and suitable routing mechanism is to be deployed for fast retrieval of
information to the central system by the sensor node deployed in the parking areas .Malicious nodes
are to be avoided while deciding the routes .techniques like device to device communication and
artificial intelligence can be implemented on WSN platform to solve the problem of mismanagement
in parking systems.
