A Survey Paper on Free Space Optics

Abstract

In today’s time, need of higher bandwidth and speed makes FSO as a most demanding communication
pathway as compared to traditional guided medium.FSO has numerous advantages as compared to
optical fiber but along with it also posses degradation of its BER and SNR due to atmospheric
turbulences. In this papers, various factors regarding free space optics are emphasized with different
challenges in FSO are discussed
