A Novel and Effective Method for Automatic Paper Trimming and Cutting process in Paper Industries
Abstract
The design and manufacture of paper cutting machines using the Geneva mechanism is helpful in order to cut paper in equal and precise scales. Geneva drive is a mechanism for indexing constant movement into intermittent movement by moving paper between the same time intervals. The crank and lever mechanism for cutting paper has been used. The cutter is returned to its novel point by means of the heavy crank mechanism. This concept seeks to design a paper cutter operated by the Geneva mechanism to remove the longest-running process of paper marking and to supply paper with equal dimensions in each turning round. This tool is used to minimize physical work and time saving on paper cutting. This mechanism can also be used in paper manufacturing, to prevent human errors and in schools, stationary stores, paper shops, etc.
