Examining the Indian perspective on Gender Differences in information processing and selection of investment alternatives

Abstract

Indian investor’s investment behavior is quite different from the residents from other parts of the world. From childhood, they have developed the habit of saving money which essential element of their life with time. Due to the cultural variables, Indian investors are further divided based on gender, where the behavior of the men is found to be different from women when it comes to financial decision making. Therefore, the present examines whether men and females differ in the investment information processing and the choice of investment options. Findings and results generated from the study are extremely helpful to the advertisers, bankers, and financial institution’s policymakers for better policy execution.
