Design of Six Phase Transmission System and Power Quality Improvement Using D-Statcom

Abstract

This paper presents conversion of 3-Ф system into 6-Ф system with the help of a delta- wye transformer connected at the transmission line. At the receiving end the 6-Ф is converted into 3-Ф and loaded with different types of non-linear loads. Due to these non-linear loads the quality of the power is decreased and by using Distribution Static Compensator (D-STATCOM) the power quality is improved.
