Understanding Change and Change Management Process: A Case Study of Property Developer Company

Abstract

The primary purpose of this study is to explore employees' understanding of change
and change management within a property developer. This organization, like other
property developers in Malaysia, has practiced and presently experiencing organizational
changes. The study also critically evaluates the impact of change and change
organization in completing business aims and goals. The purpose of change and change
management and related issues pertaining to the property developer transformation about
the role of employees was highlighted during informal interviews and observations.
Leaders have a significant charisma to achieve in introducing the transformation and had
to assist in managing change efficiently. This case study seeks to understand and show
employees' understandings regarding the effective change processes and how these have
impacted them. In the effort to implement a successful change initiative, the need of a
strategy for transformation must be associated with the business goals and objectives.
There is a need to handle the human perspective of change to avoid resistance to change
with suitable change approaches, therefore, enhance the general performance of the
organization as the whole
