Negative Behaviors of Pre-Teenage Children Living in the Prostitution Areas, South Tangerang Municipality, Indonesia

Abstract

The background of the problem in this study is the negative behaviors of adultery
influence pre-teenage children living in prostitution areas. The impacts of the negative
behaviors include sexual diseases, child abuse, and child trafficking, smoking cigarettes,
drinking alcohol and drug uses. The research objectives will find out the comparison of
demoralized behaviors among pre-teenage children living in the prostitution areas in
South Tangerang Municipality, the comparison of juvenile criminal behaviors of preteenage children living in the prostitution areas in South Tangerang Municipality, the
comparison of immoral behaviors of pre-teenage children living in the prostitution areas
in South Tangerang Municipality. The research methods used in this research was the
quantitative method with the percentage test data analysis. The components of research
instruments covered demoralized behaviors, juvenile criminal and immoral behaviors.
The demoralized behaviors are those shown by pre-teenage children in Serpong SubDistrict living near the prostitution area and understanding about the prostitution
activities. Around 42.85% of the pre-teenage children with demoralized behaviors are
shown in the sub-district. Around 29.6% of pre-teenage children living in the prostitution
area in Serpong Sub-district have longer playing time after 9:00 PM. Around 80% of preteenage children living in the prostitution area in Setu Sub-District frequently hear dirty
words There are 44% of pre-teenage children with juvenile criminal behaviors of drug
uses shown in Serpong Sub-District if compared to Setu and Pondok Aren Sub-District.
