Abstract

The problem of flooding in various major cities in Indonesia resulted in various problems that occur around the environment. Flood mitigation also became an important focus during the COVID-19 outbreak. Learning innovations in the form of a Disaster Mitigation of Flood Based on Online Learning (DIFMOL) educational model based on 21st technology, need to be developed. Student's Environmental Attitude (EA) analysis needs to be done for develop the DIFMOL model. The purpose of this study was to conduct a descriptive analysis of EA students in Indonesia related to flooding as a basis for the development of DIFMOL model. The research method used in this research was descriptive method with data collection techniques using instruments that are distributed online through Google Form. Total sample 504 university students from several city in Indonesia. The results showed that the EA scores of students from all respondents (88.76), Male (88.92), and Female (88.70). Overall, it showed that student EA were already in the very high category at the time of the COVID-19 outbreak. Even so, it is necessary to increase the EA on indicators related to flood prevention by monitoring water levels. Learning innovations through the development of DIFMOL can be done to overcome this problem. This study concludes that the EA score of students is very high but needs to be improved on certain indicators. The DIFMOL model can also be developed as a 21st-century technology in educational innovation.
