Abstract

Human resource management in any organisation has the major goal to maximize the organisational performance by way of introducing different strategies in different ways. contributing to organisational performance in every sector. Managers in organisations such as hotel and catering industry try out with various interventions which can minimize the costs associated with the various human resource factors which would eventually contribute to the improvement of organisational performance. The present study focuses on the concepts of the human resources such as job satisfaction, organisational culture, training and development, other HR factors and stressare the contributing factors to the holistic growth in the organisational performance. The data used for this study was generated by convenience random sampling of employees working in hotel and catering industries in Chennai. The findings from this study show that various human resource factors such as training and development, organisational culture, stress etcaffect the employees in several ways and is a factor which triggers for the organisational performance in many organisations. Suggestions have been made to inspire managers to understand and develop appropriate interventions to manage and cope up well with the underlying factors in their respectiveorganisations.
