Load balancing in Data centers using SDN Controllers
Abstract
Software-Defined networking is a network model through which the con- figuration of network facilities can be altered programmatically at any time. Software Defined networks (SDN) provides flexibility and therefore responds to changing business requirements faster. Separating the physical network control plane from the data plane is called Load balancing. It allows for control of multiple devices at the same time. When load balancing is done through SDN controllers, there is an efficient way to alter the load distribution mechanism without affecting the data forwarding layer. It is mainly done for traffic management in networks. Through load balancing in SDN, delivery requests are done faster by choosing the best pathway and server. This can be implemented using RYU controllers and Mininet.
