Abstract

The exploratory study of compressive strength, tensile strength and flexural strength for normal M40 grade concrete and M40 grade concrete with hybrid fiber reinforcement are tested and studied. The various fibers used are hooked steel, micro steel, polypropylene. The hooked steel with the percentage of 0.5%, 0.75%, 1.0% and 1.25%, The micro steel with the percentage of 0.2%, 0.4%, 0.6%, and 0.8%& The polypropylene with the percentage is of 0.25%, 0.50%, 0.75%, and 0.1% are used. Here hybrid fibers are also introduced for the basic load test. The combinations of Mix Design Fiber (MDF1) (0.75% of hooked fiber and 0.4% of micro steel), Mix design fiber (MDF2) (0.75% hooked fiber and 0.5% polypropylene) and Mix design fiber (MDF3) (0.4% of micro steel and 0.5% of polypropylene) are tried and tested. After the mixing of concrete with this composition, the all mixes are kept for curing process on 14 days and 28days. After the curing process, the tests are done and the readings are tabulated. By this experiment we can know the strength of the concrete with various mixtures of fibers and their various properties can yield the higher strength compared to normal mix concrete.
