Abstract

This study is concerned about an EGR AIR EXHAUST PIPE (EAEP) manufacturing plant. The plant involves five subsystems namely Sand Core Making Machine (SCMM), Gravity Die Casting Machine (GDC), Horizontal Machine (HM), Cutting Machine (CM), Vibrator Machine (VM). These subsystems are connected in sequence. Failure and repair rates of each subsystem are implicit to be constant. The method used for the mathematical modeling of EAEP plant is Markov birth-death process. The differential equations are simplified for time dependent by using ODE-45 method in matlab and steady state availability. By dissimilararrangement of failure and repair rates of the subsystems value of steady states availability is calculated byusing recursive method.
