Personal Grooming -An Opinion study among Female Students in EngineeringCollegesinVirudhunagar District

Abstract

Face is the index of the mind. Personal grooming justifies this statement. Personal grooming is essential for human beings’ day to day life. In particular, female gives more importance to personal grooming. This study aims to know about the opinion of female students in engineering colleges regarding personal grooming and the factors influencing their attitude towards personal grooming. A structured questionnaire is framed by considering the factors like lifestyle, society, personal, economy and marketing to perform analyze. The convenience sampling method is used to identify the respondents from four different engineering colleges in Virudhunagar district and as a result 400 samples are obtained. The collected samples are analyzed by using regression analysis and frequency tabulation. The result shows that the female students in engineering colleges felt that personal grooming increases their self confidence and gives modern look. The result also shows that the personal factors and lifestyle factors are highly influencing their attitude towards personal grooming.
