A study on factors affecting job satisfaction of employees in hotel industry: A study with reference to few hotels in Lucknow

Abstract

The value of overall hospitality industry is more than 3 trillion US dollar and captures the major part of overall service industry in the country and being an integral part of the industry hotels constitute to around 41 percent of the total engaged manpower. This is very important that at this stage the employers should take all the care to retain the existing employees who are experienced and are of positive attitude. The hotel industry of Lucknow is not an exception to the same and all the limitation and advantages of employee satisfaction are applicable here as well. The researcher has selected five international hotels in the vicinity of the city and conducted this study. This study is based on primary data and 200 employees of different age, experience and cadre are considered. SPSS Ver. 22.0 is used to analyze the data.
