In the current environment, employee engagement emerged as a major dilemma for the organisations in India. As employees are the basic resources, organisations are counting on numerous challenges and opportunities to get support from its employees. This paper attempts to study the impact of two major factors ‘emotional well-being’ and ‘the use of new digital platforms’ on employee engagement in pandemic scenario. A self-administered questionnaire was developed for survey and data was collected from randomly selected employees working in major sectors of India engaged in essential services during lockdown. Results show that while maintaining emotional well-being has strong positive effect, the use of new IT and digital platforms are giving a mix response on employee engagement. Research tries to outline some of the effective methods to increase employee engagement and summarizes that organisations must value mindful engagement.
