Competitive Analysis of Interaction between Organizational Culture and Knowledge Management in Indian Higher Education Institutions: Public and Private Sector
Abstract
Knowledge management (KM) is a very significant function in every industry. According to Robert Bachmann, three critical factors of knowledge management are organizational culture (OC), organizational culture and organizational culture (O’Dell and Grayson, 1998). It is regarded as a main reason behind the success or failure of knowledge management processes in any organization. This study would throw the light on the competitive analysis of effect of organizational culture on knowledge management in Indian higher education institutions and taking into account both private and public sectors. The findings are very interesting as they reveal that domination culture for public institution is hierarchy culture and dominating culture for private institution is adhocracy culture. It also proves that organizational culture has an impact on KM processes for both private and public sector Indian higher education institutions.
