Abstract

Language is an important means of communication, without which the existence and development of the human community is impossible. The expansion and measurement of the quality of the nature of the international relations of our state, the internationalization of all spheres of public life make foreign languages, in particular English, really relevant in practical and intellectual human activities. In the process of learning students can master lexical and grammatical knowledge and skills, but they cannot understand their interlocutor precisely, as a result of which communication between people and, subsequently, contact between them are disrupted. They do not reach the minimum sufficient level of perception of hearing foreign language speech. In these conditions, there is a need to develop lexical listening skills as an indicator of a person's ability to understand the language of a native speaker. As we know, Authentic materials are materials taken from original sources, which are characterized by the naturalness of lexical content and grammatical forms, situational adequacy of the language means used, illustrate cases of authentic usage and which, although not intended specifically for educational purposes, can be used in teaching a foreign language. In this article we will deal with the role of authentic materials in developing students listening and speaking in foreign language.
