Abstract

The research aims to develop a sustainable supply chain management model by a commercial electronic (e-commerce) approach at SMEs Banua Cokelat. The research was conducted at SMEs Banua Cokelat, which was determined purposively with the consideration that the SMEs have implemented supply chain management using the internet, but are still manual or have not implemented e-commerce in the supply chain management process. The results of the research show that the prototype of the commercial electronic-based supply chain management model needed by SMEs Banua Cokelat is the Model e-SCM website system, which shows the relationship between SMEs Banua Cokelat and the stakeholders (suppliers, retailers, and consumers) easily and quickly at the same time. In the process, SMEs Banua Cokelat served as the website administrator while retailers and suppliers acted as contributors. The management model can provide a sustainable service by SMEs Banua Cokelat to its consumers/stakeholders. The advantage of applying the model is the use of lower costs than the manual SCM model used previously by SMEs Banua Cokelat because, on the process, all organizational components in the supply chain can be integrated and interconnected in online networks without having to meet personally. The process can be done anywhere and anytime without limits of space and time. The information can be obtained massively at the same time so that it can be facilitated and accelerate service to consumers.
