Data Provenance and Data Lineage in the Cloud: A Survey

Abstract

 Cloud Storage provides convenient data access remotely from anywhere and around the clock with some additional benefits and flexibility. But, one of the common drawbacks in cloud storage is data provenance. Data provenance explains the origin of certain data. It is indispensable for a post-occurrence investigation, broadly utilized in human services, logical joint effort, criminological examination and legitimate procedures.  In this survey, we look over the present cloud provenance conspires and proposed security arrangements. We explore the flow related security challenges faced during the implementation of the idea for provenance model and the qualities of the cloud and at last distinguish potential research bearings which we feel essential ought to be shrouded so as to manufacture a safe cloud provenance for the people to come.
