The Study on Needs and Expectation of Millennial Generation at the Work Place and its Impact of Career Choice, Southern Tamil Nadu, India
The manpower is backbone of every industry. Today the industries are not able to produce single piece of product or service without manpower. The Employees needs and expectation are continually increased in the working environment. The talent acquisition is a big challenge in the market due to drastic changes in the expectation of work force. The needs and expectation in the new generation employees change the working environment and systems. The retirement of baby boomers create an entry path for the millennial generation to the work. This article probes the needs and expectation of the millennial generation employees and its impact of career choice. This research has been done with 325 millennial generation people in south Tamil Nadu. The standard questionnaire and statistical tool were used for analysis to understand the needs and expectation of millennial generation and career choice of the employment. This study reveals that high pay, self development, Quick career advancement and tech-Savvy environment are most important factor to choose the employment.
