A Review on Environmental, Economic And Social Facets of Construction & Demolition Waste Management

Abstract

Significant efforts have been done for waste management (CDWM) in construction demolition. However, there will be a little information to understand the use of model for assessing CDWM performance, recognize methods and tools. By reviewing the previous published literature’s, this study assesses the performance of CDWM assessment. C&D waste concerns are evaluated by the environmental, economical and social facets. The literature studies found that some researchers used system dynamic and life cycle assessment to performance of CDWM. Other researchers chosen sustainability model for finalize the performance of CDWM assessment. The results demonstrated that the social facets are having less concentration when compared to environmental and economic. The results also demonstrate LCA and SD are mostly used for C&D waste management performance assessment.
