Abstract

The world has risen so that gadgets can speak with one another and accomplish their work effectively. This is where the Internet of Things comes into the picture. Internet of Things connects devices and make them communicate with each other without any human interactions. The things that are required for an IoT application to function are Hardware devices, Software to integrate all the hardware, a communication medium, cloud application to view the progress.  In order to establish communication between the devices and make them work accordingly, wired or wireless technology is needed to make this possible. The wired innovation can't be that effective when contrasted with remote as far as establishment cost and endeavours. There are many wireless technologies used these days in IoT for transferring data within the connected devices in the network. This paper describes an overview of wireless technologies used to connect various devices within a network. The wireless Technologies for communicating devices in the IoT systems have their uniqueness in their applications. These wireless technologies differ in their features like range, data rate and their applications. Some existing wireless technologies are Bluetooth, ZigBee, LoRa, NB-IoT, Z-wave, ANT+. This paper includes features, types, architecture and its applications in detail.
