A Study On Users’ Perception Towards Internet Service Providers In Madurai District
Before the entrant of Reliance Jio in India, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is the major internet service provider enjoying about 43% of market share in India. Quality of service is often more important for customers than the cost of acquiring that service. Important task of an internet service provider is to know the quality of service provided by them which is perceived by the users. The main objective of this study is to identify the factors that influence the user preference of internet services in Madurai district. Exploratory research study has adopted in this study to determine the factors influencing for the study and data collected in this study will be useful to formulate a theoretical model to measure the users perception about internet service providers. Major findings of this study, Internet users are comfortable to use mobiles and use the laptop for their internet activities. Perceived Quality, Perceived Risk, Trustworthiness and Brand awareness are the major factors in determining the awareness and perception of users towards internet services.
