Economic and Legal Aspects of Commercial Fishing Development in Russia

Abstract

Improvement of the regulatory legal framework remains one of the main objectives of the state policy of the Russian Federation in the fishing industry since modern legislation does not correspond to the current operating conditions in the sector, but only hinders its development. This paper aims to determine the factors that affect the content of the legal norms regulating commercial fishing taking into account the current economic context, and also to develop theoretical approaches for improving legislation in the fishing industry.
