Age and Gender Prediction Using Facial Images

Abstract

Human face helps a lot in various fields like face recognition and various other industries (sales, marketing). By evaluating the photos of the face we could obtain a huge amount of information such as age, class, race, sex, accent etc.  A gender and age classification scheme uses a person's face from a specified picture to indicate the gender (male / female) and the particular person's age. An effective gender and age prediction approach will improve the efficiency of certain technologies, such as face recognition and sophisticated person-to-computer interaction. This work shows the essential classification mechanisms for grouping according to facial images.
