Design and Development of Automatic Ticket Vending Machine

Abstract

Public transportation is used in many countries for travel from one place to other. It would be preferred to plan such as public transportation with appropriate tickets. This paper provides an efficient bus ticketing system using the concept of radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology through an embedded system. The proposed RFID with embedded system based smart ticketing device is effectively used for bus transportation system. Each and every bus is confirming the tickets by using RFID reader circuit. The passenger’s ticket fare is automatically deducted directly from the account of the passenger depending on the distance covered. The travelling distance from source to destination stations and navigates the different bus routes are calculated using global positioning system (GPS). The proposed automatic ticket progressing machine is used for quicker transactions, easier and more ambiguous.
