Sustainable Tourism with Community Based Tourism in Lampung

Abstract

Existing tourism potential on the island of Sumatera, Lampung in particular, currently cannot be managed and utilized properly by the local government. So far what has happened is that there is a misconception from how to manage Ecotourism so that it results in natural damage. This study aims to find out how cultural tourism based on community empowerment in Lampung Province is supported by its creative business, the relationship between elements or stakeholders with the tourism sector and the criteria for tourism success in Lampung Province. One criterion is that the institution is going well. The institutional model shows the relationships between parties related to the tourism sector and the existence of leadership that strengthens the whole process of tourism management.
