Abstract

This paper provides an overview of sediment yield analysis results using echosounder analysis to determine sediment amount in the Bilibili reservoir for current conditions. This study conducted in 2019 by conducting a direct survey by measuring using an echo sounder tool. With a topographic map (contour), the surface area at each elevation can be calculated with a Planimeter and then calculated the volume between the two elevations. Then it can be made surface area curve – elevation and storage volume curves – elevation. The result showed that the total volume of sediment in the Bilibili reservoir from 1997 to 2019 was 110.37 million m3, and measurements in 2017, the total volume of sediment was only 108.05 million m³. Therefore, the total sediment rate from 2017 to 2019 is 2.321 million m³. These results indicate a decrease in sediment amount over the past two years. The condition expected to continue so that the reservoir water level can be maintained. Calculations using echo sounder analysis show a significant accuracy level.
