FACTORS CAUSING JOB STRESS AND ALIENATION OF EMPLOYEES IN IT INDUSTRIES

Abstract

Information Technology has been playing the dominant role in all the sectors of the world. The development and growth of every field is dependent on the information technology.  The employees working in information technology have more work pressure than the employees of other sector.  The increased work pressure results in job stress among the employees.  However, certain other factors like gender, education and experience also cause job stress among the employees.  The present investigation is intended to study Job Dissatisfaction, Job Climate, Job Alienation of Employees in IT Industries based on their gender, experience and educational qualification. Survey Method was conducted on a sample of 347 IT Employees by applying simple random sampling technique. Data was analysed by t test and ANOVA. Results showed that the Job Dissatisfaction, Job Climate, Job Stress and Job Alienation of Employees are varying based on Gender, Experience and Educational qualification.
