Abstract

Next generation cellular network must be designed to support high data rates and link reliability. Massive MIMO technology can multiply the network capacity (High data rates) without taking much spectrum. Massive MIMO having ability to provide better throughput and spectrum efficiency. Design of energy-efficient wireless networks to cover maximum area is a challenging task. Massive MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) networks improve the spectral efficiency but it takes much transmit power. This paper focuses on an optimal number of base station antennas, user equipment to maximize energy efficiency without increasing transmit power. In this paper receive combining precoding vectors such as (MMSE, MR) discussed, which suppress the channel interference. In this paper effect of circuit energy consumption on energy efficiency is discussed.
