Abstract

The article investigates the development of innovative technologies in the use of solid fuels, primarily of low-grade types. It is established that at present coal as the main type of fuel is burnt in the boilers of Angren and Novo-Angren thermal power plants located in the Ahangaran valley of the Republic. A modern technology of burning brown coal in the circulating fluidized bed of Angren deposit is proposed. The proposed modern technology meets high environmental standards, increases the productivity of power plants, saves fuel, and thus contributes to the smooth operation of the Angren and Novo-Angren thermal power plants. The resulting gaseous fuel with higher energy efficiency can be used in steam and gas turbine plants, which allows the most complete use of fuel exergy.
