FEATURES OF FORMING THE STRUCTURE OF CEMENT CONCRETE ON SECOND CRUSHED STONE FROM CONCRETE SCRAP
Abstract
The article presents the results of studies on the process of forming the structure of cement concrete obtained from concrete mix based on secondary crushed stone, as well as identifying the features of its structure formation. It has been established that the secondary aggregate has a higher water absorption compared to the traditional pure aggregate, and when the concrete mixture hardens, the absorbed water begins to be sucked off with a cement stone and actively participate in the process of cement hydration. This contributes to the formation of a denser cement stone with reduced porosity and finer pore character, as well as the formation of a strong and dense contact zone between the cement stone and the aggregate.
