Abstract

 The brief overview of the psychological and pedagogical features of children and the many years of experience of the authors, presented in the article, indicate the possibility of starting a systematic teaching of a foreign language at senior preschool age in the preschool education system. Knowing the physiology, psychology of the laws of development and the individual characteristics of modern preschoolers will allow teachers to choose effective methods of work, and in this case, teaching a foreign language will contribute to the intellectual, personal, emotional development of children.
