LITERARY WORK AND MUSIC AS A TOOL FOR UNDERSTANDING INTERCULTURAL DIFFERENCES

Abstract

In this article described issues on the role of literary work and music as a tool for understanding intercultural differences. Music and literature have an important role in the process of intercultural communication, since they are directly related to culture, as they store information about history, national psychology, national behavior, i.e. about all the components of culture. From this position, the literary text is considered as “A set of specific signals that automatically cause a reader brought up in the traditions of a given culture not only direct associations, but also a large number of indirect ones. In turn, the rules for constructing a text depend on the context of the culture in which it arises” [1, p. 87].
