Abstract

This paper aims to study democratic principles among official and public institutions in modern Uzbekistan. The authors discuss the features of perceptions of political reforms in the social consciousness, the interactions of civil society institutions (scientific, socialist and public) that shape social consciousness and ideological factors that contribute to the correction of prejudices. According to the authors, democracy and human freedom are interdependent, not opposed to coercion. Democratic relationships are reflected in the balance between them, not conflict or accident. As a result of studying the general features of social and political processes taking place in modern Uzbekistan, changes in public opinion, their directions and trends, we have identified the internal social paradoxes of democratic reforms. At the same time, the article provides some suggestions and recommendations that will enable the realization of human rights and interests in the future democratization of society in Uzbekistan.
