Enhanced Automation Using Controller and Conscripts

Abstract

Automation has never been more important than in today’s business environment. The wave of digital metamorphosis and progression has created customer intercommunications that can happen at any time and in huge and unpredictable volumes. Our design aims at creating a smart, energy efficient society where one can manage the usage of electronic components from their Smartphone. The principle behind this is knowledge that concerns electronics and orientation to domestic life (home appliances and control systems) and that concerns the use of the appliances. This product has been developed to serve the purpose of enhanced automation wherein it allows the monitoring of up to 10 separate electronic devices under a nominal cost. The range of communication between the controller and the devices has been significantly increased by bestowing the use of a NodeMCU module and a server.The server makes use of a Node JS framework to help in the operation of automation. The mobile application is developed as a three tier pattern i.e., Model-View-Controller. This enables the mobile app to function as a classic yet light-weight application.
