Abstract

The relationship of the interleukin-1 b cytokines and the interleukin-1 receptor antagonist with the severity and nature of the course of chronic heart failure in patients with coronary heart disease has been evaluated. It was found that a decrease in the level of IL-1 Ra occurred as the severity of heart failure increased and was accompanied by an increase in the level of the pro-inflammatory cytokine IL-1 r. The relationship between the levels of cytokines IL-1 in and IL-1 Ra in blood serum with the severity and nature of the course of heart failure. The significance and severity of these relationships was maximal in patients with the most severe course of the disease. Determination of the level of IL-1 in and IL-1Pa in serum can be recommended for early prediction of the severity and nature of the course of heart failure.
